Enhancing Quality in Communities of Practice (2015)
Raising the Bar is a community initiative to promote and support early childhood educators in their continuous commitment to excellence in early learning and child care programs. The program provides a framework for best practice to guide early learning and child care operators in delivering high quality services for children and families. In addition to the best practice framework, Raising the Bar helps to ensure practices are current and responsive to family and community needs by engaging educators in ongoing Reflective Practice, Leadership, and, Continuous Professional Learning.
If it’s 2015 format, Raising the Bar is arranged as a three phase scaffold for program operators, supervisors and educators: Engagement with the RTB Community of Practice, Strengthening Capacity, and, Continuous Commitment to Excellence. By design, RTB’s 2015 approaches align with “How Does Learning Happen?” Ontario’s Pedagogy for the Early Years (Ontario Ministry of Education, 2014) and it’s values.
