“Strategies for Preventing Teacher Burnout in Early Childhood Education” by Ellen M. Drolette

Burnout is a prevalent topic in early childhood education. The reality is that many educators are supporting vulnerable children and families in need of more intense interventions and support; while working for low wages, few benefits, and at times getting little respect for what they do. With wellness for educators at the forefront, especially considering the stress and uncertainly of our current global circumstances, there are practices educators can take to reverse the growing trend of teacher burnout. Through facilitated dialogue, we will explore the practices from the article and discuss what strategies educators are using to prevent burnout.
