Village Children’s Centre of Waterdown
Position: Full-time Educator Assistant
Hours of Work: 8:30 am to 5:00 pm Daily hours
Number of hours per week: 40 hours per week
Type of Program: Licensed Child Care Centre
Description: We are looking for a warm, nurturing, kind individual with childcare experience willing to work as a team member with infants.
Someone able to:
- participate in staff meetings, program planning
- feed, change and play with infants on the ground level
- maintain an environment that protects the health, safety, and well-being of children under supervision
- do a lot of lifting, carrying, and light cleaning daily
Qualifications:
Years of Experience: 1-5 years
Knowledge of Ontario’s pedagogy, “How Does Learning Happen?” and the Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA), Experience in working with various age groups (i.e.: infant, toddler, preschool, kindergarten, 6 to 8 years), Standard First Aid and CPR “C”, Current Vulnerable Sector Check, Work as a member of a team, Doctor Certified Health Assessment and up to date in immunization, TB Test, Willingness to participate in: Staff Meetings, Professional Learning opportunities, etc.
