Description: Paramount Family Centre is a welcoming, well-established childcare centre that has been serving the Upper Stoney Creek community for over 25 years. We are committed to creating a nurturing environment where every child is seen, loved, and supported. Guided by Christian values, we believe each child is a unique and valuable gift from God and deserves a safe, caring place to grow, learn, and thrive.

We offer toddler, preschool, kindergarten, and school-age care, as well as summer camp programming. Paramount Family Centre is also a participant in the Canada-Wide Early Learning and Child Care (CWELCC) system and values our strong, collaborative relationships with our local community partners and families.

Position Summary

The Director provides overall leadership and management of the Centre, ensuring daily operations, programs, and services align with the organization’s mission and strategic priorities. The role ensures full compliance with all Ontario childcare legislation and fosters a positive, professional environment for children, families, and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead day-to-day operations, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and high-quality childcare environment
• Provide effective staff recruitment, leadership, mentoring, and performance management
• Ensure compliance with all licensing, legislative, and regulatory requirements
• Oversee program development using play-based, child-centred approaches
• Lead policy development for approval of the Board of Directors
• Manage financial planning, budgets, reporting, and funding requirements
• Build trusting relationships with families, community partners, and stakeholders
• Promote a culture of inclusion, professionalism, and continuous improvement

Years of Experience: 6-10 years

Qualifications:
Registered and in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators, Ontario, Knowledge of Ontario’s pedagogy, “How Does Learning Happen?” and the Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA), Supervisory Experience, Experience in working with various age groups (i.e.: infant, toddler, preschool, kindergarten, 6 to 8 years), knowledge and understanding of the Hamilton Community, Standard First Aid and CPR “C”, Current Vulnerable Sector Check, Work as a member of a team, Doctor Certified Health Assessment and up to date in immunization, TB Test, Willingness to participate in: Staff Meetings, Professional Learning opportunities, etc.

Salary Range: $65,000-$75,000

Registered Early Childhood Educator

Guardian Angels Child Care Centre

Position: Full-time Registered Early Childhood Educator
Number of hours per week: 7:00 am. -5 pm
Type of Program: Licensed Child Care Centre

Description:

  • Working with toddlers, infants and preschoolers
  • Help promote children with self-help skills and independence
  • Help with different transitions such as circle, snack, etc.
  • Provide supervision to ensure safety and support the well-being during daily activities
  • Create a sense of belonging, promoting well-being, engagement and fostering expression
  • Help children navigate their world through play by engaging in rich learning experiences

Qualifications:

Years of Experience: 1-5 years
