Key Responsibilities:
• Reporting to assigned childcare centres to support full- and part-time staff
• Implementing developmentally appropriate activities to support children’s cognitive, physical, social, and emotional growth in line with the How Does Learning Happen framework
• Maintaining a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children while fostering professional relationships with Hamilton Wentworth District School Board faculty

Characteristics:
• Willingness to work in an on-call capacity with flexible scheduling
• Availability to work a minimum of 3 days per week, Monday to Friday, within the 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM time frame.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, flexible environment with minimal supervision
• Flexibility and adaptability to be assigned in multiple locations, with minimal supervision.

Qualifications:

Years of Experience: 1-5 years

Knowledge of Ontario’s pedagogy, “How Does Learning Happen?” and the Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA), Experience in working with various age groups (i.e.: infant, toddler, preschool, kindergarten, 6 to 8 years), knowledge and understanding of the Hamilton Community, Standard First Aid and CPR “C”, Current Vulnerable Sector Check, Work as a member of a team, Doctor Certified Health Assessment and up to date in immunization, TB Test, Willingness to participate in: Staff Meetings, Professional Learning opportunities, etc.

Salary Range: $23.05 to $27.05
