Position: Full-time Registered Early Childhood Educator
Number of hours per week: 40
Type of Program: Licensed Child Care Centre

Description: We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Preschool Educator to join our team! The ideal candidate loves working with young children and is passionate about creating a safe, welcoming, and engaging learning environment.

Responsibilities:

Plan and lead age-appropriate activities that support children’s learning and development
Provide a nurturing and positive environment where children feel supported
Encourage creativity, curiosity, and social skills through play-based learning
Build strong relationships with children, families, and team members
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment
Observe and document children’s growth and developmental progress

Qualifications:

Experience working with preschool-aged children
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Patient, dependable, and caring approach
Knowledge of child development and early learning practices

Registered Early Childhood Educator

Paramount Family Centre

Position: Full-time Supervisor
Hours of Work: 8 to 5 Daily hours
Number of hours per week: 7.5
Type of Program: Licensed Child Care Centre

Position Summary:
The Supervisor works closely with the Director to support the achievement of Paramount Family Centre’s mission and organizational objectives. This role provides leadership in program development, administration, operations, and staff support, ensuring the Centre maintains its high standards of care and service. In the absence of the Director, the Supervisor provides additional leadership and oversight to ensure the ongoing daily operations of the Centre.

Key Responsibilities:
• Support the day-to-day operation of the Centre and maintain compliance with childcare legislation, licensing requirements, and Centre policies.
• Provide leadership, mentoring, and support to educators and staff.
• Monitor enrollment, waitlists, attendance, and family inquiries, including conducting tours for prospective families.
• Oversee program quality, classroom documentation, and children’s records.
• Support staff scheduling, training, professional development, and performance review processes.
• Assist with budget monitoring, purchasing of program supplies and equipment, and the effective use of Centre resources.
• Coordinate family communications, special events, and community engagement activities.
• Maintain administrative records and contribute to Board reporting and program development initiatives.
• Provide leadership and operational oversight in the Director’s absence.

Qualifications
Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) in good standing
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a licensed childcare setting
• Related degrees, certificates and courses an asset
• Current Infant/Child First Aid and CPR certification
• Knowledge of Ontario’s pedagogy, “How Does Learning Happen?” and the Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA), knowledge and understanding of the Hamilton Community, Current Vulnerable Sector Check, Work as a member of a team, Doctor Certified Health Assessment and up to date in immunization, TB Test, Willingness to participate in: Staff Meetings, Professional Learning opportunities, etc.

Salary Range: $60,000-$64,000 annually commensurate with experience
