Position: Full-time Registered Early Childhood Educator
Hours of Work: 7:00 am to 5:00 pm Daily hours
Number of hours per week: 7:00 am. -5 pm
Shifts: Varied
Type of Program: Licensed Child Care Centre
Description:
- Working with children from infants, toddlers or preschoolers
- Help promote children with self-help skills and independence
- Help children navigate their world through play by engaging in rich learning experiences
- Help with the different transitions, such as circle, snack, etc.
- Create a sense of belonging, promoting well-being, engagement and fostering expression
- Provide supervision to ensure safety and support the well-being during daily activities.
- Promote each child’s social, emotional, cognitive and physical development
Qualifications:
Years of Experience: 1-5 years
Registered and in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators, Ontario, Knowledge of Ontario’s pedagogy, “How Does Learning Happen?” and the Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA), Experience in working with various age groups (i.e.: infant, toddler, preschool, kindergarten, 6 to 8 years), knowledge and understanding of the Hamilton Community, Standard First Aid and CPR “C”, Current Vulnerable Sector Check, Work as a member of a team, Doctor Certified Health Assessment and up to date in immunization, TB Test, Willingness to participate in: Staff Meetings, Professional Learning opportunities, etc.
