Description: Reporting to the Program Manager, the Supervisor will be responsible for the ongoing operation of two high-quality childcare centres that serve children ages 0-12 years of age. The successful candidate will provide supervision and leadership to a team of staff; Work in alignment with How Does Learning Happen ensuring that each of the 4 foundations are implemented; Maintain administration of all licenses, inspections and other related documentation; Support the partnership between child care and school staff; Ensure overall financial management of the Centre and complete administrative tasks as required; and support and facilitate strong partnerships with community partners.

Position: Part-time Registered Early Childhood Educator
Hours of Work: 7am-9am to 3pm – 6pm Daily hours
Number of hours per week: Split shift of 7am – 9am and 3pm – 6pm daily, Monday through Friday

Description: Our highly trained staff and volunteers are caring role models who use an individualized, strength-based approach and engage Club members to play, learn, and develop essential life skills. We create caring environments that are safe, inclusive and fun. Our Clubs are located in neighbourhoods where they need us most. We emphasize flexible programs based on local needs, the interests of our participants, and the diversity, character and identity of their communities.
Job Outline:
• Role will include working a split shift at Parkdale Elementary School or Viscount Montgomery Elementary School from 7:00 am-9:30 am and 3:00 pm-6:00 pm Monday to Friday; working with a group of school-aged children. We can be flexible on availability and shift times
• Responsible for the facilitation of the Before and After School Program through the implementation of How Does Learning Happen? Ontario’s Pedagogy for the Early Years for children ages 4-12 in BGC’s Early Learning Child Care Classrooms at Parkdale Elementary School or Viscount Montgomery Elementary School
• Candidates are ideally Registered with the College of Early Childhood Educators
• Equivalency programs such as Educational Assistant, Recreation & Leisure, Child & Youth Worker, Ontario College of Teachers, or current enrollment in an ECE diploma program are assets
• A commitment to the Club’s mission, Vision and Core Values
• Clear Vulnerable Sector Check • Valid First Aid/CPR Level C (Red Cross preferred)
• Completion of a pre-medical assessment (to be provided)

Description: Stoney Creek Montessori School is Montessori Canada-accredited and seeking a Toddler Guide to cover a maternity leave starting in February 2025. We’re looking for someone trained in Toddler Montessori to join and support our warm, authentic classroom. We are also willing to consider a strong RECE with a keen interest in Montessori and willing to be trained.
Requirements:
- Experienced in observation, program and lesson planning, lesson presentation and record keeping
- Skilled in preparing a Toddler environment, including material-making to support the changing needs of the children
- Able to model grace and courtesy to students and staff at all times
- A nurturing educator with a demonstrated enthusiasm for working with children, who is willing to go the extra mile to build an engaging and inspirational classroom community
- Excellent at interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Excellent at working collaboratively with administration, program leads, assistants and support staff to create the very best environment for all children and staff to thrive
- Experienced in using Google Docs and Sheets, WhatsApp, and Transparent Classroom
