Duty to Report
All Registered Early Childhood Educators have a responsibility to protect children from harm, and it is essential that they are knowledgeable about their duty to report to a Children’s Aid Society (CAS) under the Child, Youth and Family Services Act, 2017 (CYFSA). Section 125 of the CYFSA imposes a duty to report for RECEs.
