Purpose: To facilitate an evidence-based integrated and coordinated approach to cross-sector planning for infant and early years mental health services in the City of Hamilton.
Hamilton’s Definition of Infant and Early Years Mental Health
Infant and Early Childhood mental health (prenatal to age 6) is a state of optimal development of the child’s ability to experience, express, and regulate emotions; form close and secure caregiver relationships; and explore the environment and learn in the context of their caregiving relationships.
