Description:
For September, we are seeking a dedicated and nurturing (RECE) to join our Montessori preschool team. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for early childhood education, a commitment to the Montessori philosophy, and a warm, collaborative approach to classroom teaching.
Key Responsibilities:
Create and maintain a safe, stimulating, and nurturing classroom environment.
Support and implement Montessori-based curriculum and activities.
Observe and document children’s development and progress.
Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with parents.
Ensure compliance with all licensing and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
Years of Experience: 1-5 years

What You’ll Do:

-Facilitate belonging for children and families by creating welcoming, accepting, and safe environments for children and families to learn and play.
-Work collaboratively to build strong family partnerships in our communities through meaningful communication, facilitation of events and opportunities to involve and engage families in our work.
-Be innovative in their approach to alignment with Ontario’s emergent curriculum and guiding pedagogical philosophy, ‘How Does Learning Happen?’
-Ensure a strong commitment to leading and caring with an intent for Equity, respect for Diversity, demand for Inclusion, and facilitation of Belonging that every family deserves.
Qualifications:
Registered and in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators, Ontario, Knowledge of Ontario’s pedagogy, “How Does Learning Happen?” and the Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA), Experience in working with various age groups (i.e.: infant, toddler, preschool, kindergarten, 6 to 8 years), knowledge and understanding of the Haldimand-Norfolk Community, Standard First Aid and CPR “C”, Current Vulnerable Sector Check, Work as a member of a team, Doctor Certified Health Assessment and up to date in immunization, TB Test, Willingness to participate in: Staff Meetings, Professional Learning opportunities, etc.
