Position: Full-time, Registered Early Childhood Educator
Number of hours per week: 42.5
Type of Program: Licensed Child Care Centre
Description: Provide an early learning and developmentally rich environment for children in a group setting in accordance with the Childre Care and Early Years Act and the policies and procedures at HN REACH.
Nurture authentic, caring relationships, connections and support to families.
Enrich children’s healthy development and support their growing sense of self.
Foster the foundations of How Does Learning Happen? Ontario’s Pedagogy for the Early Years.
This full-time permanent position is located at McKinnon Park Child Care Centre in Caledonia. This program provides quality child care and early learning for infants, toddlers, preschool and school age children. We have been proudly serving the community for over 30 years and are an active participant in the Haldimand-Norfolk Quality Initiative.
Qualifications:
Years of Experience: 1-5 years
Registered and in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators, Ontario, Knowledge of Ontario’s pedagogy, “How Does Learning Happen?” and the Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA), Experience in working with various age groups (i.e.: infant, toddler, preschool, kindergarten, 6 to 8 years), knowledge and understanding of the Haldimand-Norfolk Community, Standard First Aid and CPR “C”, Current Vulnerable Sector Check, Work as a member of a team, Doctor Certified Health Assessment and up to date in immunization, TB Test, Willingness to participate in: Staff Meetings, Professional Learning opportunities, etc.
Salary Range: $17.20 (+8.54)-$18.74 (+9.66) Rates in bracket include the wage subsidy, wage enhancement & CWELCC grants)
